Where will you be working? At M Group Energy, were enabling the energy essential to support our lives. We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation. This role will be within our Transmission & Renewables team. We design, build and commission substations at voltages up to and including 400kV. Our teams construct and maintain transmission lines and substations, ensuring the efficient and reliable delivery of electricity. This offers a hybrid setup, 2-3 days on site initially in the Leeds area and the remaining working remotely. Want to come and be a part of it? What will you be doing? Were seeking an experienced and commercially astute Commercial Manager to join our growing Transmission & Renewables team! Are you ready to play a key role in shaping the future of energy? Youll contribute to high-profile infrastructure developments that drive innovation and long-term impact within the energy sector. Drive commercial success by shaping and executing project strategies in partnership with the Portfolio Manager Champion HSEQ leadership while inspiring and developing high-performing commercial teams through training and mentorship Support pre-Contract activities including delivery of detailed tender handover to project delivery teams Deliver robust CVR and all progress governance reporting to the senior management team, ensuring full compliance with commercial reporting rules Collaborate with Finance and Project Teams to optimise forecasts, cashflow, and business plan performance Build strong client and supplier relationships to secure new work and resolve disputes Oversee procurement activities to ensure supply chain engagement in accordance with delivery programme requirements Ensure contractual compliance across the Project teams to ensure full recovery of all entitlement, provide coaching and training as required Spearhead improvements in regional commercial performance through innovation, training, and strategic leadership What youll bring Leadership skills with a clear focus on developing the team Commercially astute with substantial proven experience in a similar role Degree qualified Expert knowledge of standard forms of contract including NEC 3/4, JCT & FIDIC Excellent communication & negotiation skills Experience in undertaking reviews of contract terms & negotiating with both client and Supply Chain Understanding of programme techniques and project controls Proven experience in people management Full UK driving licence willingness to travel across regional sites Whats in it for you?
