Where will you be working? We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure. This role will be within our demand management and network infrastructure team. We look after 60 million meters and our teams provide advanced metering solutions to help manage demand for essential suppliers.
What will you be doing? You’ll be part of our Plumbing Team who are responsible for installing internal or external meters for our client Thames Water. You’ll be required to deliver the highest standard of customer service and maintain a high level of Health and Safety whilst ensuring every job is carried out to a high standard. We’re looking for NVQ qualified plumbers to join our team on our Thames Water Metering contract (a 15-year contract to deliver 1.5m water meter installs in the Thames Water Operating Area). You’ll attend appointments in the am/pm or evening depending upon your shift pattern. You’ll install and replace internal or external water meters whilst engaging with customers to explain the next steps on their journey to becoming a metered customer.
What you’ll bring:
- Proven experience in the plumbing industry (essential).
- Recognised NVQ level 2 plumbing qualification.
- Valid UK driving license.
- Excellent customer service and effective communication skills.
