Where will you be working? Rail - Our Rail team manages a wide range of specialist rail engineering works and projects delivering civils, track, power, electrical solutions and station structures across all rail routes in the UK. We are looking for an experienced Senior People Business Partner to support the delivery of the HR agenda providing proactive, professional people support and delivering a value-added HR service to the business. You will be applying best practice people solutions that meet the business needs. Role offers hybrid working, but must be willing to travel to the office in Sidcup with meetings with senior stakeholders each Friday.
What will you be doing? You’ll provide direction support, coaching and training to business stakeholders to deliver the people strategy & plan, whilst working collaboratively with the shared services teams. Implement and contribute to continual improvement and innovation ensuring the business is recognised for developing and delivering excellent people practices. Support the HR Director with a variety of strategic people projects and provide generalist HR advice and support to managers with all employee relation matters. Part of the role will include supporting and leading mobilisations, demobilisations, and restructures.
What you’ll bring: Do you have proven experience of building rapport and influencing key stakeholders across the business? The ability to make sound business / HR recommendations after full review of the fact? Ability to work independently and agile, working with conflicting priorities. Demonstrable knowledge of TUPE and ER. Coaching and mentoring experience. Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office programs. Solid understanding of employment legislation and the practical application. Ideally you will be qualified in CIPD Level 7 or above, however, we will consider candidates who have extensive experience.
