Where will you be working? Rail - Our Rail team manages a wide range of specialist rail engineering works and projects delivering civils, track, power, electrical solutions and station structures across all rail routes in the UK.

What will you be doing?

  • Develop comprehensive tender and delivery programmes using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Collaborate with estimators and tender sponsors to understand project deliverables and contribute to the overall bid strategy.
  • Facilitate planning workshops to define and capture project methodologies while considering contractual and operational constraints.
  • Simultaneously manage multiple tender programmes and projects.
  • Support the planning team with day-to-day programme management tasks, as needed.
  • Monitor and update project programmes throughout their lifecycle, ensuring alignment with progress and change management.
  • Provide detailed progress reports and programme narratives to stakeholders.
  • Liaise with external contractors and suppliers to coordinate construction phases.
  • Input cost and resource loading for programmes.
  • Ensure compliance with the Company Management System (CMS) and stay updated on industry trends and legislation.

What you’ll bring:

  • 5+ years of planning experience in construction or civil engineering in the UK.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Essential experience in Rail; exposure to M&E, Civil Engineering, and NEC Contract Administration is desirable.
  • Proven track record in producing tender programmes is desirable.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to lead planning workshops and present programmes at tender adjudication meetings, client presentations, and internal management reviews.
  • Excellent time and workload management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of programme controls and change management processes.
  • Understanding of contracts’ programme requirements and interdependencies with third-party interfaces.
