At M Group Highways, we’re supporting the safe transportation and movement of people across the UK. You’ll be joining our Highways maintenance team, as the UK’s number one highway maintenance contractor, our teams use the latest innovations to create effective solutions. We offer a range of services including planned and reactive maintenance and highway improvement schemes.
What will you be doing?
As the HSW Advisor, you will provide professional Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) support to operational teams, ensuring work is planned and delivered safely, compliantly and to the required quality standard. You'll promote a positive safety culture through visible engagement, coaching and constructive challenge, and you will support leaders to embed company policies, procedures and the Business Management System (BMS) in day-to-day operations. You'll deliver proactive monitoring through inspections, audits and observations; you will support effective risk assessment and control for routine and higher-risk activities; and you will ensure findings are translated into clear actions with agreed owners and timescales. We'll ask you to support incident and near-miss reporting and investigation, drive corrective and preventative actions, and provide accurate performance reporting to operational management.
