Where will you be working? BGEN is one of the UK's largest multidisciplinary design and build contractors with over 100 years of industry experience. We support clients in the Water, Power & Energy, Pharmaceutical, Nuclear, and Food and Beverage industries to deliver next-generation, value-added engineering solutions.
What will you be doing? As a key part of our local projects team, you'll provide expert Electrical & Instrument Design and Consulting Services. Our current portfolio includes projects such as:
- Extensive flow and pressure monitoring project
- Upgrade of effluent plant to PLC control
- Upgrade of process plant to DCS
You will be part of the Multi-Discipline Design Team, working closely with the Project Manager to ensure the smooth delivery of pharmaceutical projects. Responsibilities include understanding customer needs, estimating resources, producing reports and designs, liaising with subcontractors, coordinating with disciplines like Mechanical, Process, HVAC, and Civil, and overseeing design deliverables.
Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in electrical installation design, preferably within the pharmaceutical sector, with strong knowledge of industry best practices and regulations. Qualifications such as an HNC or Degree in engineering, professional memberships, and skills in ATEX Hazardous Area design, Functional Safety (IEC 61508/61511), and CDM Regulations 2015 are advantageous. Proficiency in AutoCAD LT and Microsoft Office is essential, along with experience working in multi-discipline teams. Strong communication and organizational skills are crucial.
