You’ll be joining our Aviation team – Our Aviation team works across a wide range of specialist civil, mechanical and electrical engineering works including major international airports, regional airports and RAF airfields.

What will you be doing?

As Contract Manager purpose you’ll take ownership of all projects under your control, from client-liaison & ECI, tender, delivery to close-out and hand-over.

You’ll be involved in all areas of the asset life cycle from delivery, operation and maintenance.

You’ll lead a team of site delivery staff to ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard. Monitoring the performance of staff under your control and multiple site activities.

We’ll ask you to carry out staff performance reviews and manage other employee related matters when necessary.

The role will involve regular contact with the commercial and planning teams to offer strategic direction in a high-profile aviation environment.

You’ll enforce safety regulations, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and oversee risk management on site.

Identifying and resolving any issues or bottlenecks that may arise during the project, including resource shortages or delays. With involvement in planning projects, including scheduling materials, equipment, and labour.

You’ll work with our clients to deliver complex projects to achieve value for money and minimise commercial risk

What You’ll Bring

  • Demonstrable experience within the civil engineering and infrastructure sector
  • Experience in supervising and mentoring teams, managing subcontractors, and overseeing construction operations is crucial
  • Strong budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis skills are necessary with NEC3/4 contract experience
  • A proven ability to manage and track contracts from tender through to completion
  • A solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to analyse data, identify trends and patterns, and make informed decisions to drive operational improvements
  • Experience leading operational improvement initiatives across departments and promote efficient practices in line with business expansion
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • A thorough understanding of CDM roles and SHEQ duties
