Where will you be working? At M Group Highways, we’re supporting the safe transportation and movement of people across the UK. We have an exciting opportunity for a Student Engineer to join us for an Industrial Placement year within our Project Division in Exeter. This is a great opportunity for someone currently studying for a degree in Civil Engineering and seeking hands on experience in industry. The start date for this placement will be 29th June 2026.

What you’ll be doing:

  • As a Student Engineer, you’ll work on a variety of projects varying in value from £100k - £10m, including roads, bridges and flood alleviation schemes.
  • There’ll be a strong focus on carbon reduction to provide safer, greener roads.
  • You’ll be working in the capacity of a Site Engineer and will be responsible for setting out, site record keeping & paperwork, assisting with programming, correspondence and QA procedures, risk assessment and adherence to Health & Safety legislation as well as other various site duties.
