Where will you be working?
At M Group Telecom, we’re enabling and enhancing telecom networks, playing a lead role in the delivery of our tech enabled future. We deliver full network cycle services for fixed, private and mobile operators. Private networks - We find the best technology, manage assets and refresh systems. With 24/7 network operations, we keep things running smoothly, while operating comprehensive network repair and maintenance to keep everything in top shape.
What will you be doing?
Working into the Field Manager, you will be responsible for leading installation works, commissioning and completing all site documentation. This will involve travelling to site and working away from home. Installing and commissioning SDH, MPLS-TP and DWDM equipment to enable a full refresh of a nationwide network. Working alongside the project engineers and assure delivery for the client and the company. You would be expected to work with the Senior Authorised Person on site to ensure you are following the site rules and working in a safe manner. When issues on site arise, you will be expected to come to a resolution leaning on our SMEs, TDAs and 3rd line support when necessary.
What you’ll bring?
- Proven experience as a field or senior engineer in telecoms, working on large-scale, technology-based projects.
- Base-level knowledge of SDH and DWDM, with experience commissioning SDH, PDH, DWDM, and IP systems.
- Skilled in leading engineering teams, with exceptional organisational and communication skills.
- High computer competency required.
- Must be able to attain SC Clearance.
- Experience with Hitachi/ABB XMC/FOX, Adtran DWDM, and working in substation environments.
- Cisco CCNA/CompTIA Network+, NEBOSH accreditation, and NG Competent Persons certification are essential.
