A passionate and dynamic Acquisitions Specialist is required on a freelance basis by a long established Corporate Intermediary Firm. The role requires someone with direct experience of dealing with the boards of public and private companies and an interest in corporate strategy and the SME marketplace.
Previous M&A / corporate development / deal origination experience is a possible advantage, but is not a prerequisite. This hybrid role is suitable for a self-motivated, well-rounded, experienced, meticulous and mobile person with their own base anywhere in England. You will ideally be qualified to ACA / ACCA / MBA or equivalent level, although candidates with other qualifications will be considered.
The role is very flexible and can be full-time or part-time - as part of the individual's portfolio of passive and non-passive income streams. Examples of the individual's other portfolio income streams may be passive investment income or income from non-executive roles, fractional FD roles, consultancy work, online trading or SME equity holdings.
It requires a seasoned professional who has the ability to deal directly and effectively with the entrepreneurial owners of SMEs, as well as the boards of publicly quoted companies. Applications are particularly invited from previous Board members of Private / Public companies.
You will need to be a person who has the necessary gravitas to deal with the entrepreneurial owners of companies in the deal creation phase. You must have excellent financial/operational analysis, database research and interpersonal skills. You must also have a passion for recognising and creating deals.
When applying, please send your full CV together with a letter giving the reasons why you consider yourself suitable for this opportunity.
