Our client M-Four is a leading consultancy specialising in Stock Condition Surveys, Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs), and property insights across Scotland. As part of their expansion, we are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Assistant Project Manager with a foundational background in surveying to join our team.
Role Responsibilities
- Support for Surveying Activities: Assist in coordinating and scheduling building surveys, including Stock Condition Surveys and EPCs. Provide logistical support to the survey teams on-site.
- Project Administration: Assist the Project Manager with day-to-day project tasks, including organising meetings, taking minutes, and updating project schedules.
- Client Interaction: Help respond to client enquiries, providing updates and ensuring client needs are met in a timely manner.
- Data Handling: Assist in collecting, reviewing, and entering survey data into project management systems, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Documentation and Reporting: Support the preparation of project documentation, including survey reports, risk assessments, and progress updates.
- Quality Control: Conduct basic checks on survey outputs to ensure they meet company standards and client expectations.
- Health & Safety: Assist the Project Manager in implementing health and safety procedures on-site, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
- Learning and Development: Actively participate in training sessions and on-the-job learning to develop a deeper understanding of project management and surveying practices.
Essential Skills
- A degree in Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
- This is an entry-level role, so no previous project management experience is required. However, any experience or internships related to building surveying, property inspection, or construction will be considered advantageous
- Outstanding organisation and ability to manage multiple tasks
- A high-level of IT literacy, particularly in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Detail-oriented and analytical, with a focus on delivering high-quality work
- The ability to focus and remain calm when working to deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive and eager to learn, with a strong desire to build a career in project management
- Team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to take on new challenges.
Desirable
- Familiarity with surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD, iSurvey) or project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana) is a plus but not required
