Description: We are looking for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic to join our in-house workshop in Knypersley, Stoke-on-Trent, maintaining a 30 -vehicle mixed fleet of Class 1, Class 2, 7.5t and vans.
This is a workshop-based fleet role, working alongside one other experienced technician, with planned maintenance, realistic job times and proper support.
Pay & Hours
- Negotiable - depending on experience
- 40 hours per week
- Overtime paid
- Day / noon shifts: 8am5pm or 12pm9pm
- Every other Saturday (paid at overtime rate)

The role
- Servicing, maintenance and repair of Class 1 & Class 2 vehicles
- 6-weekly inspections
- MOT preparation and presentation
- Fault diagnosis and rectification using manufacturer diagnostics
- Completion of job cards and service paperwork
- Liaising with colleagues and suppliers
- Ensuring all health & safety procedures are followed
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience as an HGV Technician / Mechanic
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience with heavy vehicle maintenance essential
- HGV licence advantageous but not essential
- Full UK driving licence
- Reliable, professional approach
