We work with private and public sector clients on a wide range of residential, commercial and public sector developments, delivering joined-up technical expertise across multiple disciplines.We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Group team, reporting directly to the Managing Director. The role location is flexible, to be based from our Leicestershire, Birmingham or Nottingham office.This is a senior, client-facing role, suited to someone who thrives on coordination, clarity and delivery,and who enjoys being at the centre of complex, multi-disciplinary projects.In this role, you will take ownership of large and complex projects, ensuring programmes, budgets and quality standards are met, while acting as a key link between internal teams, clients, directors and external stakeholders. You\’ll play an important role in shaping how project management operates across the business, helping to embed consistency, best practice and momentum as MEC continues to grow.If you are commercially aware, highly organised and confident managing multiple moving parts, this is an opportunity to make a real impact.Key Responsibilities As Project Manager, your responsibilities will span project delivery, client management and internal coordination, including:Overseeing and coordinating the delivery of large or complex projects across multiple internal disciplinesManaging a varied portfolio of residential, commercial and public sector projectsWorking closely with the Project Director to maintain project programmes, budgets and quality standardsActing as a key liaison between clients, internal teams, directors and third‐party stakeholdersChairing and attending client, consultant and design team meetingsProviding clear, concise project updates and managing client expectations throughout deliveryDeveloping and maintaining detailed project execution plans, including timelines, budgets and resource allocationIdentifying risks and challenges early, coordinating internal discussions and driving solutionsSupporting the development and implementation of a consistent, company‐wide project management systemManaging submissions for third‐party approvals, liaising proactively with clients, authorities and external bodiesAgreeing fee proposals, managing timescales and maintaining regular internal and external communicationWorking nationally across the UK, with flexibility to support projects as requiredPlaying a senior role in the development of the project management function, including mentoring future team membersProject Management and Delivery Managing projects across multiple disciplines and sectorsClient liaison, fee proposals, budgeting, resourcing and invoicingEnsuring high‐quality, technically accurate outputs are delivered on time and within budgetAdhering to company quality procedures, including two‐stage checking processesManaging project finances and monitoring performance against agreed budgetsPROFESSIONAL & GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Alongside project delivery, you will be expected to uphold MEC\’s professional standards and values:Completing a minimum of 12 days CPD per year in line with your training and development planWorking collaboratively with colleagues across all disciplinesDemonstrating full commitment to company values, customer service commitments and the Customer CharterAdhering to all quality, health & safety, psychosocial and environmental policiesMaintaining accurate WIP, invoicing and resource tracking in line with monthly deadlinesKeeping timesheets and expenses up to date and submitted on timeProactively supporting client care and following up fee quotes monthlyRepresenting MEC positively at all times, reinforcing our services and expertiseSupporting internal engagement, including contributing to staff meetings and business updatesHolding a full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business useWHY JOIN MEC?
