A highly regarded architectural practice with an exceptional design pedigree is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to join the team on a 12–18 month fixed-term contract. Generous salary on experience, hybrid & flexible working, perks, benefits and bonus.
Joining an award-winning studio known for its design ambition and collaborative culture, you will work closely with Practice Management and Directors to lead marketing, PR and communications strategies that raise the practice’s profile, strengthen client relationships and support growth.
Key duties and responsibilities include:
- Lead the planning and delivery of digital, PR, brand and content activity, ensuring clear and consistent messaging across all channels.
- Partner with Directors to identify market opportunities and support sector-focused growth plans.
- Provide day-to-day leadership, mentoring and line management to the Marketing Assistant.
- Oversee all social media activity delivered by the Marketing Assistant, maintaining quality, consistency and alignment with the wider brand strategy.
- Oversee the practice website, ensuring content remains current, engaging and aligned with brand positioning.
- Manage the marketing budget with the Finance Director, including forecasting, reporting and ROI analysis.
- Champion the brand guidelines and ensure consistency across all internal and external communications.
- Develop and deliver project-specific marketing strategies and campaigns that support business objectives.
- Manage the external PR consultancy to ensure productive collaboration and strong results.
- Support Directors with PR activity and profile-raising opportunities, working closely with the PR consultancy as needed.
- Oversee bids and pitch submissions, working with Directors, the architectural team and the Marketing Assistant.
- Lead and support the preparation of bids, feasibility studies, fee proposals and RFP submissions in partnership with Directors and the wider management team.
Experience and skills required:
- Proven experience in a similar marketing role within the architecture & design / built environment marketplace with a passion for architecture and design.
- Strong experience in digital marketing and content delivery.
- Experience managing external PR agencies and specialist consultants.
- A design-led mindset, with strong graphic design skills and a sharp visual eye.
- Excellent relationship-building skills, with the confidence to collaborate effectively at all levels.
- Hands-on experience in social media planning, management and performance tracking.
- Strong website management and copywriting skills, with the ability to create clear, engaging content.
- A proactive, organised approach with the ability to prioritise effectively and work independently.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop is essential.
- Excellent knowledge of LinkedIn and its role in brand-building and audience engagement.
- Familiarity with social media scheduling and publishing platforms.
- Experience using Mailchimp for email marketing and campaign management.
