Employment Type: Full-time, 40 Hours per week - Fixed Term Contract for 12 Months.

Essentials: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented People Logistics Coordinator to support our Operations team. The People Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing the movement, scheduling, and support of personnel in our services across South Wales through the careful planning of our staff rotas. This role will ensure that staffing needs are met efficiently, so that our services have adequately filled rotas to ensure that those in our care receive the best possible care.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in scheduling tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Able to identify patterns.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across South Wales.
  • Diligent and detail oriented.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain accurate staff rotas for multiple care settings, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts.
  • Respond promptly to staffing changes, sickness, and emergency cover requirements.
  • Liaise with managers and team leaders to forecast staffing needs and adjust schedules accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance with working time regulations, contractual obligations, and care standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of staff availability, leave, and training requirements.
  • Communicate rota changes clearly and promptly to staff members.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding processes by integrating new staff into schedules.
  • Monitor and report on staffing patterns, overtime, and resource utilization.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in rota planning, workforce coordination, or scheduling within health and social care is desirable.
  • Background in logistics, planning, or booker experience may be acceptable.
  • Transferable skills from employment requiring planning, scheduling or staffing.
  • Awareness of the working time regulations.
  • Experience in implementing a new system.
