Join our passionate team at M&D Care as a Support Worker in our specialist residential service in Ammanford SA18 and make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable adults. As a Support Worker, you will provide emotional and practical care in a residential setting. No experience is necessary as full training will be given, but having the right values is important to us. Joining our Specialist Services team means working with some of the most complex individuals we support. Previous experience in a similar setting and a proactive approach whilst following specific plans are highly valued.
M&D Care are an established family-oriented business, which is run by a passionate team of professionals who deliver specialist, complex and bespoke care services throughout Southwest Wales for people with Learning Disability, Physical Disability and Mental Health needs. We believe that everyone should be given the opportunity to succeed and to achieve their goals and aspirations in life however big or small these may be.

Role and Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to individuals with mental health needs and learning disabilities.
Assist with daily living tasks including personal care, meal preparation, medication management, and shopping.
Promote independence, dignity, and well-being through engaging and meaningful activities.
Work autonomously while maintaining the safety and respect of those you support.
Comply with regulatory standards set by Social Care Wales and Care Inspectorate Wales.
Work flexibly on a rota basis, including early mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Additional Information

A variety of contracted hours available (22.5 to 45 hours per week)
Shift patterns vary and include weekends and night shifts on a rota basis
No prior experience required full training provided
Opportunity to gain a QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care after probation, with full support
Previous experience for this role would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be given
