Were looking for an experienced Cook to join our friendly team at a specialist residential support service in Pontardawe. This is a new building and has excellent facilities for both those living there and staff. You will be required to cook meals for 16 adults in our care.

Your job would be making sure that the 16 people who live in the service have their needs wants and special diets catered for .

In this role, youll:
- Prepare tasty, nutritious meals tailored to individual needs
- Keep the kitchen clean, safe, and well-organised

Hours:Monday to Friday, 9:00 am 5:00 pm (occasional weekends)

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and cook meals, including special dietary needs.
- Work with the team to meet the nutritional needs of those we support.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness.
- Create menus and manage food planning and preparation.
- Order and manage stock, deliveries, and kitchen budgets.
- Keep the kitchen and dining areas clean and hazard-free.
- Support meal planning based on individual care plans and preferences.
- Engage with individuals to ensure meals are enjoyable and meet their needs.
About You:
- Experience in planning and preparing meals
- Basic knowledge of food safety, Health & Safety, and COSHH (training can be provided)
- Experience with special or cultural diets is a bonus
- Able to work well on your own and as part of a team
- Food hygiene certificate (or willing to complete training)
- Comfortable working in a busy kitchen and following compliance standards
- Good communication skills and able to keep clear written records
