We seek a friendly, organised, and customer-focused Receptionist to join M D Auto Care.
This role is key to creating a positive first impression for customers and supporting the efficient operation of the front office. You will work with our Service Advisor to manage reception duties, customer enquiries, and administration, ensuring each customer receives professional and friendly service.
This is an excellent opportunity to start a career in the motor trade. As you gain experience, you will receive training and support to progress into a Service Advisor role.

Working hours are Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17;00 and Saturday from 08:00 to 12:00
Key ResponsibilitiesReception & Customer Experience
- Act as the first point of contact for customers, in person, by phone and via email.
- Welcome customers in a friendly, professional and courteous manner.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and direct enquiries appropriately.
- Assist with workshop bookings, vehicle drop-offs and collections.
- Maintain a clean, organised and welcoming reception area.
- Deliver an excellent customer experience at every stage of the customer journey.
Customer Service & Administration
- Maintain accurate customer records and update workshop systems.
- Assist with preparing job cards, estimates and invoices.
- Process customer payments.
- Manage customer reminders for MOTs, servicing and scheduled maintenance.
- Support filing, administration and general office duties.
- Assist with supplier and customer communications.
Workshop Support
- Support the Service Advisor with daily administrative tasks.
- Help coordinate communication between customers and technicians.
- Assist with organising workshop schedules and customer appointments.
- Ensure information is accurate and communicated promptly.
- Support the smooth and efficient running of the front office.
Learning & Development
- Learn the responsibilities of a Service Advisor through structured on-the-job training.
- Develop knowledge of vehicle servicing, repairs and workshop operations.
- Build confidence in customer communication, estimates and service recommendations.
- Take advantage of ongoing training and development opportunities.
