We're looking for a QC Inspector to join our growing team in Bridgwater. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working on the shop floor, takes pride in accuracy, and has a keen eye for detail. As part of our Quality team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring every component leaving our facility meets the exacting standards our customers expect.

The Opportunity: Working closely with the Quality Manager, you'll be responsible for inspecting components throughout the manufacturing process, helping to maintain the highest standards of quality across the business. You'll operate within a highly regulated AS9100 environment, supporting a right-first-time culture and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. This is a varied role where no two days are quite the same. You'll be involved in everything from first-off inspections and final checks through to root cause investigations, customer quality support and metrology activities.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Carrying out first-off, patrol, interim and final inspections
  • Inspecting incoming materials, goods and components
  • Completing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), PPAP and ISIR documentation
  • Using a range of metrology and measurement equipment
  • Conducting reject analysis and supporting root cause investigations
  • Raising and completing NCR and corrective action documentation
  • Supporting concession requests and quality documentation
  • Assisting with internal audits and continuous improvement activities
  • Working closely with production teams to ensure quality standards are maintained
  • Supporting customer and supplier quality activities when required

What We're Looking For:

  • Essential: Experience within a precision engineering, machining or manufacturing environment
  • Previous inspection experience or exposure to quality processes
  • CMM operation or programming experience
  • Understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerancing
  • Experience using metrology and inspection equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Computer literacy and accurate record keeping
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn

Desirable: Experience within aerospace, defence, automotive, motorsport, medical devices or similar high-precision sectors; Internal auditing experience; Exposure to AS9100 quality systems; Experience completing First Article Inspection Reports.
