Overview
In this role, you will support and optimize security and electronic systems across federal, local, and commercial clients. You’ll collaborate with engineering, field teams, and customers to ensure reliable operation and timely maintenance of complex cyber-physical solutions. You’ll diagnose issues, perform system administration tasks, and contribute to design and deployment efforts that enhance security and performance. This position offers hands-on technical growth in a leading engineering partner with a long-standing track record and a culture of agility, expertise, and trust.

Responsibilities
- Analyze system performance and recommend improvements
- Provide support to the system administration team
- Troubleshoot systems and operating systems using networking and admin skills
- Communicate with customers, manufacturers, vendors, and system administrators
- Train system users and support personnel
- Prepare and update preventive maintenance documentation
- On-site system support post deployment
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and SOWs
- Coordinate with field personnel and engineering to discuss installation issues
- Conduct R&D on new system manufacturers and interoperability scenarios
- Perform desktop hardware and OS setup and imaging
- Ensure test lab equipment is maintained
- Interface with engineering team to improve design efficiency
- Answer support calls and assist with installation issues on job sites
Key requirements
- High School Diploma with 10+ years of relevant experience
- Associates with 8+ years
- Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years
- Master's Degree with 3+ years
- System administrator experience including triage, problem resolution, and workstation extensions
- Vendor certifications for electronic systems preferred
- Willingness to travel CONUS and OCONUS
- Flexible schedule including nights and weekends
- Reliable customer site attendance
- Strong communication with customers, vendors, and internal teams
- Ability to work with field personnel and engineering teams
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Networking principles and system administration
- System troubleshooting across OS and hardware
- Desktop hardware setup and imaging software
