Position Summary
System Administrator 1 – Security and Electronic Systems (SES) Business Unit.
Part of the Programming, Commissioning and Deployment (PCD) team, responsible for configuring and maintaining Physical Access Control, CCTV, PSIM, and other electronic security systems.
Provides Tier 1 help desk support and supports regional and international teams on projects.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot CCTV, Physical Access Control, communications, and other Enterprise Physical Security systems.
- Manage and execute allocated PCD jobs, providing status updates to team leadership and escalating as needed.
- Participate in AI and other initiatives to evolve team and program.
- Support daily operations, including monitoring and reviewing system logs.
- Stay current with technological developments and recommend new or emerging technology.
- Contribute to technical documentation such as standard operating procedures and build documents for technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Perform all duties under direct supervision.
- Participate in inter‑regional “Foreign Exchange” visits with sister teams in the USA to share knowledge and drive global team cohesion.
Qualifications
- BS degree and 0+ years of progressive experience; or HS Diploma/Equivalent and 6+ years of progressive experience.
- System administrator experience performing triage on system problems, resolving issues, analyzing data to prevent problems, implementing new workstations, and system extensions.
- Demonstrated understanding of Windows patching and vulnerability remediation.
- Basic knowledge of large‑scale networking, VLANs, and routing.
- Reliable attendance at customer sites during required hours.
- Ability to work flexible shifts that include nights, weekends, holidays, and on‑call as needed.
- Minimum IAT Level II certification (e. g., Security+).
- Background working with multidisciplinary teams.
- Time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
- Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, Visio, and Power Point.
