Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure and maintain the client's Building Management Systems (BMS), Building Automation Systems (BAS), and Operational Technologies (OT).
  • Provide technical training and support on hardware and software to end users.
  • Support Control Engineers and Integrators in the field, including system support for Integrators/ LSPs.
  • Manage projects for Integrator/LSP resources, coordinating testing and commissioning of projects.
  • Troubleshoot building technologies (OT, IoT, BMS, BAS, lighting, power monitoring).
  • Propose ideas for energy efficiency and understand key concepts in energy efficiency.
  • Occasionally provide limited PC/MAC support for end users via phone, email, and instant messaging.
  • Enforce documented installation standards and new‐build processes such as DHCP reservations, MAC allow listing, load sheets, and security hardening techniques.
  • Collaborate with other BMS Application Specialists to achieve a common goal.
  • Assist in basic network troubleshooting related to BMS technologies.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Windows.
  • Understand network fundamentals such as name resolution, DHCP, TCP/IP, subnetting, IPv6, and firewalls.
  • Familiar with building systems, HVAC, lighting, and power.
  • Hands‐on troubleshooting of building technologies hardware, network cabling, and IDF/ equipment room standards.
  • Understand building technologies protocols such as BACnet, ModBus, FOXnet.
  • Use scripting languages, batch files, PowerShell to perform basic functions within building technology systems.
  • Basic understanding of virtual machines, remote access concepts, databases, and integrations between systems.

Qualifications:

  • Education: HS diploma or equivalent with 6+ years of progressive experience; BS degree with 0+ years of progressive experience; Foundation/HND/Associates degree with 4+ years of experience.
  • System administrator experience performing triage, resolving system problems, analyzing data, implementing workstations, and system extensions.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Windows patching and vulnerability remediation.
  • Basic knowledge of large‐scale networking, VLANs, and routing.
  • Reliable attendance at customer site during required work hours.
  • Flexible shifts that include nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Minimum IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+).
  • Background working with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint.
  • General awareness of Building Management and Security applications in Access Control, Video/CCTV, HVAC, or Energy Efficiency.

Work Schedule:

  • Required time in the office 3 days/week; 2 days WFH remote available.
  • Possible offset work hours to support teams outside of region.
  • Some international travel required.
