Responsibilities
As a Carpenter, you will apply your skills to design, construct, install, and repair various wooden fixtures and structures. You will also perform finishing work, painting, and staining while ensuring quality and precision. Additionally, you will monitor subcontractor performance, troubleshoot jobsite issues, and oversee project layouts and production.
- Design, construct, install, and repair wooden fixtures and structures, including cabinets, furniture, shelving, doors, plaques, and other custom wood products.
- Perform framing and finish carpentry work.
- Conduct painting, staining, and other surface finishing tasks.
- Monitor and evaluate subcontractor performance as assigned.
- Troubleshoot issues on the jobsite to ensure project efficiency and quality.
- Perform primary project layout and oversee carpentry production.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and high craftsmanship standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 4+ years of experience in carpentry.
- Clearance Requirement: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information; Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret SCI with Poly clearance.
Candidate Expectations
- Ability to read and understand architectural drawings as well as follow and enforce safety procedures.
- Ability to construct metal framing partition walls, to include drywall finishing and painting to a level 5 finish.
- Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment.
- Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
- Records maintenance skills.

Abilities
- The position requires the ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Candidates must demonstrate physical strength and stamina to perform various tasks, including but not limited to, loading, and unloading, operating equipment, and assisting in the transportation of various materials. Proper lifting techniques and safety protocols must be followed to ensure personal and team safety.
- Relocates a 12-foot stepladder without assistance.
- Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders.
- Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls, and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
- Possess good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English.
- May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.
- Tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.
