Job Title: Family Law Solicitor / Paralegal (Part-Time to Full-Time)
Location: Hybrid – Mainly Work From Home, 1 Day in Office (Lancashire-based)

We are a dynamic, growing law firm looking for a motivated and ambitious Family Law Solicitor or Paralegal to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is ready to take on a challenge, contribute meaningfully to a new and evolving firm, and grow into a key role within our expanding legal practice.
About the Role
Initially part-time (3 days per week), this position offers the opportunity to transition into a full-time role within the first couple of months, depending on workload and performance. You’ll be handling a wide range of family law matters and potentially supporting in immigration cases too – ideal for someone with experience or interest in both areas.
This is predominantly a remote working position, with one day per week in our Yorkshire office to support collaboration and occasional in-person needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and progress family law cases including (but not limited to) divorce, child arrangements, non-molestation orders, financial relief, and care proceedings
* Draft legal documents including witness statements and court applications
* Prepare cases for hearings and attend court when required
* Handle client communications and maintain excellent client care standards
* Assist with or manage immigration matters (bonus if experienced)
* Contribute to business development and client onboarding
* Participate in a flexible, evolving work structure with a proactive approach
What We’re Looking For
* Qualified solicitor or experienced paralegal with a strong foundation in Family Law
* Proven record of dealing with legal aid and private work
* Experience in Immigration Law is advantageous but not essential
* Someone eager to grow within a new and developing law firm
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Ability to work independently while being a collaborative team player
* Comfortable working in a remote environment and managing deadlines effectively
* Must be available to start immediately due to ongoing urgent matters
