The Role: As the Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will support the growth of Doocey Group. This role involves sourcing, attracting and retaining top talent across our business, for roles across the UK. You will play a pivotal role in building a strong pipeline of skilled professionals and ensuring that our company meets its project demands and long‑term strategic goals.
Responsibilities:
- Provide recruitment advice and support to managers across the Group
- Build strong candidate relationships and deliver a positive end‑to‑end recruitment experience
- Understand business needs and advise on recruitment strategies and market conditions
- Source candidates using job boards, social media, networking and referrals
- Write and manage job adverts to attract high‑quality applicants
- Screen CVs, shortlist candidates and conduct initial interviews
- Prepare candidate summaries and coordinate feedback with hiring managers
- Manage offers, including negotiation and candidate guidance on terms
- Support onboarding and deliver corporate inductions
- Monitor market trends, salary benchmarks and competitor activity
- Maintain recruitment systems, inboxes and ensure SLA compliance
- Produce recruitment reports and provide data for management and Director updates
- Ensure all recruitment activity is compliant and supports the Group’s employer brand
- Manage relationships with external recruitment agencies, ensuring alignment with business needs and preferred supplier agreements
- Negotiate and agree commercial terms with agencies, including fees, rebates and service expectations
- Act as main points of contact for agencies, coordinating vacancy briefs and managing candidate submissions

Technical Skills & Experience:
- Experience in an in‑house or agency recruitment role, ideally within construction, utilities or a similar sector
- Strong understanding of the full recruitment lifecycle
- Experience managing multiple roles in a fast‑paced environment
- Knowledge of recruitment systems/ ATS and candidate management
- Understanding of UK employment legislation and recruitment compliance, including GDPR regulations
- Strong organisational and analytical skills with experience producing recruitment reports
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Qualifications & Training:
- Relevant qualification in HR or qualified by experience
- GCSEs Grade 4-9 in English and Maths
- Full UK Driving Licence (desirable)
