The Role: The Costings Administrator Apprentice provides support in the preparation, analysis, and management of costings and financial data. The role involves assisting in compiling accurate cost estimations, maintaining financial records, liaising with departments to gather required data, and ensuring compliance with company procedures and policies. This position is designed to offer hands‑on experience and training, contributing to both personal development and the overall efficiency of the costings team.

Responsibilities:

  • Work towards being first point of contact for all Costings queries from both inside and outside of the company
  • Collate and chase, if necessary, any outstanding data from other departments to ensure data is prepared for weekly manager’s meeting
  • Notify Directors and HR daily of the Finance teams’ whereabouts
  • Working alongside the Costings team, ensure the timely maintenance of the Costings email inbox, responding and actioning accordingly
  • Ensure personal coursework is consistently up to date, accurate and you are on track for the course completion date
  • Populate costing spreadsheets
  • Scan and digitally file weekly Costings and back-up documents
  • Attend and take notes during the Costing meeting with supervisors, managers and directors
  • Attend and participate in monthly tutor meetings to support with further learning towards successful completion for your apprenticeship
  • Completion of any other necessary Costing tasks, as and when required
  • Ensure completion of ongoing learning and development, to work towards full Costings Administrator role
