This post represents an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed Maths Academic Tutor to share in the work of our thriving Maths department and to work with a friendly and supportive team housed in excellent modern facilities. Whether you are new to working in a school, or are a more experienced and ambitious colleague wishing to develop your career, this vibrant and successful school can help you to develop and flourish.

We are looking for a Maths Academic Tutor who has a talent for engaging students who can work flexibly across all age groups and abilities. This role complements the professional work of teachers by providing support in-class and small group support to students. There will be opportunities to develop within the team and make a valued contribution to students’ learning. The working hours for this post are 8.30am – 3.30pm, Monday to Friday, on a permanent contract to start in September 2026. For the right candidate, there may be opportunity to teach a small number of full classes. These hours would be paid at the appropriate teaching rate.

Set in a semi-rural location with an 18th Century family Manor House at its heart, Lytchett has one of the most beautiful and inspirational learning environments in the county with stunning extensive grounds and a number of modern extensions. The school is massively over-subscribed and highly regarded in the community. Parents know that Lytchett looks after its students, providing them with outstanding pastoral care and high-quality teaching. The school has a successful, thriving sixth form with over 340 students.

Lytchett has not joined a multi-academy trust, and has no intention of doing so, because it values its independence as a secondary school which serves its local community and produces outstanding outcomes for its students.
