Lyst is a global fashion shopping platform founded in London in 2010 and catering to over 160M shoppers per year. We offer our customers the largest assortment of premium and luxury fashion products in one place, curating pieces from 27,000 of the world's leading brands and stores. In 2025, Lyst joined Zozo, operators of Zozotown, the leading fashion e-commerce platform in Japan. This partnership marks a bold new era for Lyst, as we accelerate our vision and work together to transform the future of fashion shopping through AI and technology.

At Lyst, we obsess over the customer, providing a search and discovery experience which offers inspiration, fulfilment, and personalisation. We believe that fashion is amazing but shopping for fashion often isn't, and we use our technology, data and creativity to bring more joy, greater choice and fewer fails. Our mission is to help fashion shoppers make better decisions and help fashion partners find better audiences as the category‑leading destination for every fashion shopper.

We are looking for an Analytics Engineer to join our central Data Platform team. We record nearly 100 million lines of data every day and model it across roughly 600 dbt models that power the answers to the product and commercial questions we face. You will help us grow and improve that foundation so the business can go further with it. This is a genuinely exciting time to join. We are building AI on top of our data, changing how we model, serve and govern it so that teams across Lyst can put AI to work and get to answers themselves instead of waiting in a queue.

As an Analytics Engineer you will be hands on with that work, learning fast and growing your craft as the data platform evolves. You will sit in the central Data Platform team and partner closely with a product development squad in our customer experience tribe. You will work alongside them to give the team visibility on how their features perform and a clear picture of what customers do with what they build. That combination of central platform work and embedded product partnership is a big part of what makes the role varied.

Key Projects
  • Building data models and transformation pipelines across the breadth of Lyst data
  • Optimising our Snowflake warehouse for cost, complexity and speed to answer
  • Migrating our BI stack from Looker to Omni and helping teams get real value from it
  • Getting our data ready for AI, so both stakeholders and AI tools can query it reliably
  • Automating repetitive analysis and reporting, including with AI tooling
  • Keeping data quality high and holding the line on our data contracts
Responsibilities
  • Building and maintaining well‑modelled data pipelines across the breadth of Lyst data and use cases
  • Partnering with your squad in the customer experience tribe to model the data behind their features and show how those features perform
  • Working with engineers and our data platform engineer to raise data quality and testing standards
  • Maintaining and optimising our warehouse and BI tooling, spotting opportunities to reduce complexity, cost and time to answer
  • Building the models and semantic layer that let stakeholders and AI tools get trustworthy answers on their own
  • Developing and implementing best practice, including guidelines, automation, testing, metadata and data design
  • Reviewing code and supporting other teams on data ingestion and modelling, providing rich data outputs for end users
  • Helping deliver our wider data strategy, including the shift toward AI in the data platform
  • Bridging the gap between how data is created and how it gets used, and supporting stakeholders on data definitions and relationships
Technical Stack
  • Snowflake, dbt, AWS, Omni (we are migrating across from Looker), Monte Carlo, Terraform, Snowpipe, GitHub, and a growing set of AI tooling.
  • Strong SQL, with experience working across large, complex datasets, spotting issues and keeping data quality high
  • Experience with dbt and data modelling, and a want to get better at both
  • A good communicator, comfortable working with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
  • Sensible judgement about what to prioritise, so you can focus on the problems that matter most
  • An eye for repetitive work that can be automated
  • Comfortable using AI tools in your own workflow, and genuinely interested in how they are changing analytics engineering
  • Experience with a BI tool such as Omni, Looker, Lightdash or equivalent
  • Experience with git, Terraform, Python or Jira would be a great bonus
  • Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS, GCP or Azure is a plus
Things that Matter to Us
  • You have a passion for solving problems at scale through automation
  • You are excited about learning and sharing your knowledge with peers
  • You are curious at heart and like to take ownership of something to make it better
  • Being confronted with a difficult or strange problem makes you feel like a detective who wants to crack the mystery
  • You have a sense of ownership over the products, features and services the team looks after
  • You strive to write clear, well documented, tested code, and you look to improve existing code and ways of working. When you spot the opportunity, you go for it
Benefits
  • Our Ways of Working: We all come into the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with the option to work remotely or come into the office on the other days.
  • Time Off: In addition to the 8 statutory bank holidays, you will receive 29 holidays per year.
  • Competitive Family Leave Package: This includes Enhanced Family Leave for those eligible, paid Time off for Dependents and Support for Fertility Treatment & Loss.
  • Clothing Benefit: We provide you with a clothing allowance to use on Lyst every year.
  • Private Healthcare: We offer all employees a comprehensive healthcare scheme from the day you start.
  • Training Allowance: All employees are currently entitled to an annual training allowance of £1,000.
  • Pension Scheme: We offer a minimum employee contribution of 5% and 3% employer contribution.

  • Cycle-to-Work Scheme: Lyst will purchase a bicycle from your chosen retailer.
  • Transport Season Ticket Loan: Employees can apply for an interest free season ticket loan to support your travel to work.
  • Social Events: Frequent company wide social events including Christmas & summer parties, sports days, themed drinks, quizzes, cook alongs, as well as smaller team socials.

We want to build a world where fashion works for everyone, and we want teams that are just as inclusive. Diversity and inclusion is an integral part of our culture at Lyst. We recognise and celebrate the value and impact diversity brings to our company and are committed to ensuring this is a consistent focus, for which we are held to account. We are committed to treating all applicants fairly and equally, and encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply for this role. We are happy to talk about flexible working arrangements.

Don’t meet every single requirement? Studies have shown that women and people of colour are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. At Lyst we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
