The Lyric Hammersmith Theatre is one of the UK’s leading producing theatres. The Lyric produces world‑class theatre from the heart of Hammersmith, the theatre’s home for over 130 years. The theatre has gained a national reputation for its work in forging pathways into the arts for young talent from all backgrounds.

We are looking for a Head of Lighting to join the production team. The Head of Lighting will be responsible for leading the Lighting department as well as working with creative teams and other technical departments to ensure that the presentation of the Lyric’s work is to the highest possible standards and production values.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Lighting department and collaborate with creative teams and other technical departments to achieve the highest production standards and values.
  • Support Main House and Studio productions, and proactively assist the young people’s programmes in the new rehearsal and practice rooms, dance studio, film and TV studio, cinema, digital play space and sensory space in the Reuben Foundation Wing.
  • Handle departmental maintenance and, in conjunction with the Head of Buildings and Facilities, provide support for electrical maintenance across all areas of the building.
