Role Overview
As an RDC Manager, you will lead daily operations, ensuring vehicle maintenance, staff management, safety compliance, and efficient route coverage. You will maintain a healthy work‑life balance with no weekend work and may pick up additional hours if desired.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all vehicles are maintained according to manufacturer recommendations, roadworthy and compliant with legal requirements (payload, tachograph, etc.).
- Establish and maintain personnel files for all RDC staff, keeping records updated.
- Motivate staff and hold regular monthly meetings, producing minutes.
- Ensure drivers are instructed on vehicle operation, procedures, quality, and security.
- Cover delivery routes for staff holidays, absences, and ad hoc volume drops.
Qualifications
- Current full C1 driving licence with no more than 6 minor offence penalty points.
- Working knowledge of tachographs and EU driving regulations.
- Organised, flexible, and able to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Personal appearance is essential.
- Fundamental PC skills (Word, Excel).
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Team orientated.
- CRB check required.
