Role Overview:
- Work-Life Balance: Monday to Friday, no weekend work.
- Overtime Opportunities: pick up additional hours as desired.
- Expanding EV Fleet: manage electric vehicle fleet.
Responsibilities of a Regional Distribution Centre Manager:
- Ensure all vehicles are maintained in accordance with manufacturers' recommendations, are roadworthy and operate within legal requirements (e.g., payload, tachograph, etc.).
- Establish and maintain personnel files for all RDC staff and keep records up to date.
- Motivate staff and hold regular monthly meetings, producing minutes of these meetings.
- Ensure drivers are instructed on all aspects of operation and vehicles, including procedures, quality, and security.
- Cover delivery routes for staff holidays, absences, and ad-hoc volume drops.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Hold a current full C1 driving license with no more than 6 minor offence penalty points.
- Working knowledge of tachographs and EU driving regulations related to the working time directive.
- Be organized and flexible, able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Have a smart personal appearance.
- Knowledge of tachograph and drivers’ hours regulations.
- Complete a CRB check.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; regular contact with the company’s customer base.
- Be team-oriented.
- Basic PC skills and proficiency in Word, Excel, etc.
