We have an exciting opportunity for a driven and detail-oriented individual to join our Finance Team as an Assistant Management Accountant. This is a fantastic chance to grow your career in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, supporting end-to-end financial operations across our Total Supply Chain including both production and distribution.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Management Accountant to deliver high-quality management accounting services.
- Provide the production management team with accurate financial insights and performance analysis to inform strategic decisions and drive operational efficiency.
- Report on key metrics such as yield and labour efficiency; produce timely weekly and monthly variance reports; assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts with a focus on overheads.
- Compile and present departmental variance reports to cost centre managers, offering analysis to support performance improvement.
- Own the fixed asset register, ensure accurate transaction tracking in SAP, and monitor capital project spend with clear reports for senior stakeholders.
- Contribute to annual budgeting, forecasting, and broader business planning activities.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills, a proactive mindset, and a passion for turning financial data into meaningful business insight.
Education and experience
- Part-qualified AAT or early-stage CIMA, ACCA, or CA student
- Previous experience in a management accounting role, ideally within a manufacturing or supply chain environment
- Strong IT proficiency with advanced Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems
