Are you a Gamekeeper with a genuine difference?

We are seeking an experienced , skilled Gamekeeper and Woodsman to run a small sporting shoot and to manage woodland areas to encourage the holding of game, whilst ensuring the health and sustainability of young woodland and wildlife habitat.

We are a small, friends and family shoot, far removed from a commercial or grand shoot. The emphasis is on quality rather than big bags We walk between drives over old pastures in beautiful countryside, totally secluded from neighbouring farmland.

We are a rare breeds livestock farm with cattle, sheep, pigs and poultry. Over half the farm is woodland. Alongside the improvement of a small sporting shoot, wildlife enhancement is a primary focus including deer and flight pond management.

Experience

• Previous experience in managing game alongside woodland management is essential.
• Deer management skills and an enthusiasm for vermin control would be ideal
• Strong communication skills are essential for engaging with a beating team and work colleagues

A cottage (3 bedrooms) with its own garden is available.
