An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Recoveries Paralegal to join our busy and fast paced Motor Recoveries Team in our Edinburgh city centre office. This exciting opening would suit someone with 2+ years experience in motor insurance claims.

Hybrid working: This position is based in our Edinburgh city centre office with a combination of home and office working (working 2 days in the office and 3 days from home). You would therefore need the infrastructure in place to work from home and will be provided with a company laptop.

Duties/Responsibilities: You will be responsible for:

  • Completing the initial training, which may require you to work in the office full time initially before moving to hybrid working.
  • Managing a full caseload of motor recovery claims.
  • Pursuing claims through the various stages and making full use of our case management system.
  • Complying fully with agreed service standards.
  • Communicating with clients, insurers, expert witnesses, and solicitors.
  • Dealing with administration as required.

Skills/Competencies required: Effective people skills (able to work well with colleagues, clients, etc.). The ability to prioritise your work. An organised approach to work. Computer literate (working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word). Effective numeracy and literacy skills. You will be a team player with good attention to detail, the ability to use your own initiative and to work to strict deadlines. You should also have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

What we offer: Great city centre office location. Supportive and friendly team environment with a relaxed “dress for your day” policy. Support on days when working from home via Teams calls with supervisors and colleagues. 3 available shift patterns (operating between the hours of 8am – 6pm). Company pension (there may be a qualifying period). 25 days annual holiday entitlement increasing to 27 after 2 years. Career progression.
