We are currently recruiting for a Solicitor/Legal Executive/Senior Case Handler in our Serious and Catastrophic Claimant Personal Injury team in Bristol, specialising in personal injury but in particular injuries suffered by vulnerable road users such as cyclists, motorcyclists and pedestrians. The type of injuries will vary from fractures, moderate brain injuries, psychiatric injury and pain disorders. A combination of office and home working will be required. The successful candidate will be required to work from our Bristol office 2 days a week (Tuesday and Thursday). On the days that you are not working in the Bristol office, you will be working from home.

Duties will include:

  • Managing a mixed caseload of Fast Track and Intermediate Track cases;
  • Complying fully with agreed service standards;
  • Communicating effectively with individuals and insurer clients;
  • Training/case planning with trainee case handlers and any supervision duties as directed;
  • Attending and participating in weekly meetings;
  • Attendance at networking events and business development;
  • Dealing with administration and any other duties as required.

Experience:

The successful candidate must have previous experience of running their own caseload. They must also have a proven ability to deal with all aspects of litigation. You must be computer literate and able to undertake your own typing. The successful applicant will display excellent communication and organisation skills with an ability to always work in line with deadlines. You should have a common-sense approach to work, showing enthusiasm and initiative as a team player, with an ability to manage expectations from both internal and external clients.
