Job Overview
We are looking for an ambitious, qualified and experienced Will Writer who has a passion for Private Client work.
The successful applicant will have recent knowledge and experience within a Private Client Department, having been responsible for drafting and taking instructions on a variety of wills and associated estate planning documents.
Practical experience handling client enquiries face to face and via telephone and email is essential as well as being confident and articulate.
The ideal candidate will be a Member of the Institute of Legal Executives, have working knowledge of case management systems and be able to demonstrate a commitment to personal development.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Write Wills that are of various degrees of complexity, write powers of attorney and other estate planning documentation while making sure all paperwork is legally accurate and professionally written
- Manage an incoming case load and work with those parties involved towards the successful completion of a case
- To complete tasks competently and within defined timescales including taking dictations and typing
- Liaising with clients and other contacts, dealing with queries, taking instructions and conducting letter and telephone enquiries as necessary
- Maximize the firm's potential to cross - sell services by identifying appropriate opportunities
Experience Required
Essential
- A solid background in estate planning
- Qualified with a minimum of 2 years post qualified experience
- Experience working within a busy legal office with a proven ability to manage your own caseload and deliver to deadlines in a busy environment
- Robust approach to relationships and interactions with colleagues
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure and adhere to critical deadlines
- IT literate and have good keyboard skills β Microsoft Office is essential.
