Lyons Bowe is a local, high-street Solicitors, established in 2014, offering exceptional legal services across Residential Conveyancing, New Build, Family & Private Client while providing high-street service to our local communities.

We are looking to recruit experienced and qualified Residential Property Lawyers to join our Legal team, working within our busy Residential Conveyancing department based either remotely or in our Bristol or Shepton Mallet offices. The successful candidate will enjoy working on a remote/hybrid basis.

Our Residential Conveyancing department works as a team, providing ongoing and consistent support to each other, encouraging a good work-life balance.

Job Purpose

We seek experienced Residential Property Lawyers who understand the importance of a modern approach to conveyancing. The successful candidates will be specialists in Property Law, confident in dealing with all legal matters surrounding the buying and selling of property, advising clients on all aspects of the process.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Maintaining the Case Management Workflow and Key Stages, ensuring real-time updates are sent to all parties.
  • Completing tasks competently and within defined timescales to align with Service Level Agreements.
  • Maintaining and checking Due Diligence and Risk Assessments in line with the firm’s policies.
  • Providing legal guidance and support to clients.
  • Assisting the Exchange & Completions Team with queries.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of law and practice through CPD and training courses.
  • Ensuring compliance with the firm’s policies and procedures.
  • Being a point of contact for clients with excellent communication levels.
  • Any other reasonable duties as directed by your Head of Department.

Requirements

  • Fully qualified Solicitor, CILEX or Licensed Conveyancer.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a busy residential conveyancing team as an established Fee Earner.
  • Ability to work to a high standard with attention to detail, organised and efficient under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High standards of client care with a professional manner.
  • Strong business development skills with contacts in the local property sector.
  • Strong understanding of legal technology and its integration into a conveyancing department.
  • Interest in supporting and developing junior staff members.
  • Involvement in the development of the firm’s culture.
  • Excellent IT skills to work in an innovative law firm.
