Manage a team of 6 and maintenance of the company ISO quality system, including control of customer special requirements, complaints management and supplier defect management. Liaison with other departments on quality related issues. Management of QC Laboratory to ensure effective quality control of manufactured products; including effective planning of any Pre-QC requirements or special instructions for planned shop orders.

A Day in the Life: In this role you will manage, supervise and train QC Technicians. Acting on any problems arising during QC testing to ensure prompt and effective action is carried out to minimize reject rates. Inspection, acknowledgement and processing of all Laboratory generated paperwork associated with specific shop orders and investigation into and action of any discrepancies. Ensure QC Laboratory and equipment is in safe, good working order, calibrated and well maintained.

Furthermore: Management of non-conforming material and quarantine, including allocation of quarantine material into shop orders or use as purge material. Implementation of BOM and Item Notes into BPCS and production specification in Babtec for new items. Co-ordination of product specifications and colour standards for inter-company requests. Management and investigation into customer complaints and supplier defects, including liaison with customers or suppliers and implementing agreed corrective actions. Processing of customer returns and consequential loss claims. Management of ISO system including internal audits for ISO and systems. Preparation and presentation of reports to senior management on the effectiveness of the Quality System, normally by means of quarterly and annual review reports. Scheduling of internal audits with internal audit team and planning of training as required.

You Bring This Value: Education to Degree level in relevant discipline or relevant work experience; Minimum 5 years work experience in a Quality role; Fluent in English language skills, written as well as oral; KPI to maintain ISO status and ensure that products meet quality requirements of the customer; zero obsolete quarantine stock.
