The purpose of the job is to manage and direct the production and on-site logistics facilities of the Crumlin manufacturing site to ensure it operates in a safe, environmentally responsible and cost-efficient manner in compliance with all applicable LyondellBasell policies, standards and local legal requirements. Additionally, to champion GoalZERO for Safety and Quality and implementation of Lean Manufacturing techniques (APEX).

This position is responsible for staffing and succession plans for the plant and maintaining industrial relations internally, and community relations externally.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Establish and manage site culture in which health, safety, environmental stewardship and operational excellence are the top priorities;
  • Assure the site is appropriately staffed with well-trained personnel to effectively and efficiently support the needs of the business;
  • Manage the operational and business aspects of the site in compliance with corporate standards, local laws and regulations, in line with applicable quality and operational standards;
  • Manage the development and control of annual operations and capital budgets for the site;
  • Lead the employee relations activities at the site, together with HR;
  • Develop, implement and promote continuous improvement initiatives in site performance congruent with business priorities, and utilising benchmark references;
  • Develop Site Key Performance Indicators and reporting capabilities that ensure financial results;
  • Build a strong site organization by mentoring with an emphasis on staff development and career planning activities;
  • Overall responsibility for company safety initiatives on site including Operation Clean Sweep, Global Safety Day, ensuring team members are fully engaged in such initiatives;
  • Must work in compliance with the requirements of the site management systems (ISO 9001 and ISO 14001).
You Bring This Value:
  • Educated to degree level in engineering or sciences;
  • Strong manufacturing experience;
  • Experience working in a multi-national company preferred;
  • Experience of international assignments and/or working in a multicultural environment;
  • Must be fluent in written and oral English;
  • Good technical and commercial English language skills are essential. Knowledge of other languages is useful.
