Salary: Up to £70,000

We’re partnering with a leading engineering and defence technology organisation seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join their growing team in Barnstaple. Our client develops cutting-edge technology solutions that help make the world safer, cleaner, and more efficient. They specialise in advanced naval defence systems, fleet protection technologies, and undersea surveillance solutions used by customers worldwide.

The Role

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, integration, and support of complex engineering products and systems. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions in a safety-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and manage system requirements throughout the engineering lifecycle
  • Provide technical input to bid and proposal activities
  • Support system integration and production qualification activities
  • Conduct product testing, trials, and verification activities
  • Generate and execute work packages
  • Support design proving, commissioning, and in-service activities

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge and experience of working within the Engineering Lifecycle as a Systems Engineer.
  • A good understanding of requirements capture and experience of using a requirements management tool to manage requirements.

Desirable

  • Knowledge and understanding of using MBSE.
  • Experience of working with UK MOD.
