An established precision engineering company in the Bridgwater area is seeking an experienced QHSE Manager to lead their quality, health, safety, and environmental operations. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing manufacturing business with a strong reputation in aerospace and medical sectors.THE ROLE:As QHSE Manager, you\’ll be the driving force behind quality excellence and safety culture across the site. You\’ll manage compliance with AS9100 Rev D, ISO 13485, and ISO 9001, while building strong relationships with key customers and leading a team of quality professionals.This is a strategic role where you\’ll have genuine influence – from developing quality strategies and managing budgets, to implementing health & safety policies and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the business.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead and manage the site quality team (inspectors/engineers)Maintain and audit business management systems (AS9100, ISO 13485, ISO 9001)Act as primary customer contact for all quality mattersDrive health & safety culture and manage the H&S management systemAnalyze quality data, control rejects, and implement corrective actionsConduct risk assessments and ensure regulatory complianceCoordinate internal and external auditsManage contractor permits and site safety inspectionsWHAT YOU\’LL NEED:Extensive experience managing compliance in a fast-paced AS9100 aerospace and/or ISO 13485 medical manufacturing environmentProven quality engineering/management backgroundStrong knowledge of quality tools: SPC, PFMEA, PPAP, 8D, Lean ManufacturingExperience writing and implementing policies and proceduresUnderstanding of H&S practices in manufacturing environmentsExcellent communication and influencing skillsProficient in Microsoft OfficeNEBOSH Level 5 NVQ (or willingness to work towards – training provided)Quality management qualificationsSix Sigma knowledgeWHAT\’S ON OFFER:Competitive salary up to £47,00025 days holiday + bank holidaysCompany pension schemeLife assuranceTraining and development opportunities including NEBOSH qualificationsCareer progression within a growing organizationTHE PERSON:You\’ll be a proactive leader with a \’can-do\’ attitude who thrives on driving continuous improvement.
