We are working with a well-established manufacturer of professional audio hardware, supplying products used in studios and audio environments worldwide. The business is known for designing high-performance, intuitive audio equipment and taking products from concept through to large-scale manufacture.
This role would suit an Electronic Design Engineer who enjoys owning designs end-to-end and has a strong foundation in professional audio electronics along with a passion for music.
The Role
You will be responsible for the complete hardware development lifecycle of professional audio products, from early concept and schematic design through to validation, compliance, and release into volume production. The position involves close collaboration with software, test, and quality teams to ensure robust, compliant, and manufacturable designs.
Key Experience & Skills Focus:
- Professional Audio Electronics
- Strong understanding of analogue and digital audio signal paths
- Experience designing electronics for professional audio applications
- Familiarity with mixed-signal systems used in recording, processing, or playback equipment
- EMC & Compliance
- Practical experience designing for EMC from an early stage
- Knowledge of EMC best practices for PCB layout and circuit design
- Exposure to ensuring products meet relevant regulatory and compliance standards
- Full Product Lifecycle Ownership
- Proven experience taking hardware from concept through to mass production
- Hands-on involvement in schematic capture, PCB design, bring-up, and verification
- Supporting production test development and resolving issues during manufacture and in the field
Additional Desirable Experience
- Multilayer PCB design for mixed-signal products
- Working alongside embedded software teams
- Exposure to manufacturing test strategies and quality processes
