Key Responsibilities
- To apply electronic design expertise to develop new products and assist with improvements/changes to existing products.
- Assist with improvements/changes to existing products e.g. in response to obsolescence, regulatory changes, cost saving, and performance improvements.
- To liaise with other departments to provide a rapid and thorough response to engineering issues.
- Prepare design documentation, specifications, and design transfer / manufacturing documentation.
- Construction and evaluation of prototypes.
Experience and Qualifications
- Experience of electronic hardware design and development (Analogue and Digital).
- Microcontroller development, including experience of writing PIC firmware.
- Experience of creating schematics and PCB design, including high-speed impedance-controlled boards (previous experience with Altium PCB design software would be desirable).
- Experience of fault finding.
