About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join a specialist consultancy delivering enterprise-scale transformation across the financial services sector. This role is focused on owning end-to-end solution design—from shaping requirements through to implementation—working closely with senior stakeholders to deliver robust, secure, and scalable platforms.
What We’re Looking For
- Background & Experience
- Technology-focused consulting or engineering background
- Proven experience delivering enterprise systems or platform transformations
- Financial services or other regulated industry experience (preferred)
- Previous roles such as: Solution Architect, Technical Architect, Engineering Lead with architectural ownership, or Senior Consultant owning solution design
- Core Skills
- End-to-end solution architecture design with clear ownership of outcomes
- Production of architectural artefacts: HLDs, blueprints, integration diagrams
- Strong knowledge of application, data, and integration architecture
- Ability to assess technology options, patterns, and trade-offs
- Confident engagement with senior technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Exposure to modern technologies: Cloud, containerisation, serverless, databases
- Essentials
- Demonstrable experience owning and defending designs at ARBs/design authorities
- Hands-on design across multiple systems or domains
- Consulting or complex enterprise delivery experience
- Relevant degree (2:1 or above)
We will also consider strong engineers or developers who have worked closely with architects and can demonstrate stakeholder management, options assessment, and a genuine ambition to move into architecture.
