The Role
Our client is a well-established electronic security provider delivering high-quality security solutions across the commercial, industrial and government sectors. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Security Engineer to join their Christchurch team.
This is a hands-on role offering a mix of installation, maintenance, fault finding and project delivery work across a wide range of electronic security systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Installation, programming and commissioning of electronic security systems
• Service, maintenance and fault-finding across existing client sites
• Project coordination and site supervision as required
• Liaising with clients, contractors and internal teams
• Ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard
• Preparing documentation and project updates where required
• Maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations
Systems Experience
• Access Control
• CCTV
• Intruder Alarms
• Fire Security Systems
• Intercom Systems
About You
• Previous experience working as a Security Technician, Security Engineer or Electronic Security Technician
• Strong technical troubleshooting and fault-finding capability
• Experience coordinating projects and managing on-site activities
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Sound understanding of health and safety requirements
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Valid New Zealand Driver's Licence
• Current Certificate of Approval (COA) is essential
• Relevant electrical or electronic security qualifications highly regarded
