An innovative UK technology consultancy working in defence and security is seeking an experienced FPGA Engineer to join its multidisciplinary engineering team. The role involves developing advanced technologies and rapid prototypes to address real-world technical and cyber challenges.

You will work across the full product lifecycle, including requirements capture, FPGA design and development, testing, documentation, and prototype delivery. Projects range from proof-of-concept research through to deployable prototype systems.

Requirements
  • ~3+ years’ experience in FPGA/firmware development using VHDL or Verilog
  • ~Experience with FPGA toolchains such as Vivado or Quartus
  • ~Strong background in designing and implementing technical solutions
  • ~Relevant engineering or scientific degree
  • ~Experience with DSP algorithms is beneficial
Desirable Skills
  • MATLAB/Simulink system modelling
  • Embedded software development (C/C++ and Linux)
  • Electronics development
  • RADAR, communications systems, or Software Defined Radios (SDRs)
