My client, a research and technology consultancy is looking for an AI/ML Research Consultant to join its growing team, working on challenging projects across AI, machine learning and emerging technology within the defence and security sector.
This is a highly varied R&D role, covering everything from early-stage research and proof-of-concepts through to developing and deploying working prototypes.
The role
- Researching emerging AI/ML techniques and generating new ideas
- Developing and training ML models for novel applications
- Rapid prototyping, experimentation and troubleshooting
- Designing experiments and analysing results
- Developing recommendations and presenting findings
- Working directly with clients to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions
About you
- A strong degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or a related discipline
- Research experience or demonstrated research potential
- Strong Python skills and experience with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras or JAX
- Experience across a range of ML techniques, or the ability to quickly learn new areas
- A rigorous, scientific and creative approach to problem solving
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
