JOB - Material Stores Operator LOCATION - Aldershot, Hampshire TERM - Permanent SALARY - £35,000 - £38,500 per annum (dependent on experience) My client is an established engineering and manufacturing business specialising in precision engineering. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Material Stores Operator to join their production team at their Aldershot facility. You will play a key role in ensuring the production team has the correct materials available when required, while maintaining accurate stock records and ensuring materials meet quality and compliance requirements. The Material Stores Operator will ideally have: Previous experience within a materials, stores, warehouse or manufacturing environment
Experience working within an engineering or precision manufacturing environment would be highly advantageous
Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office
Good understanding of stock control, goods-in and materials handling
Forklift experience would be advantageous, although training/refresher training can be provided
Full UK driving licence
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
Ability to work independently and make decisions when required
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with production and inspection teams
Comfortable with manual handling and being on your feet for the majority of the working day
A positive, proactive and flexible attitude
Strong understanding of health and safety within a workshop or manufacturing environment
