Most work involves using prepared process and tooling sheets with pre-created programs. However, you may occasionally need to perform machine-side program editing. Knowledge of conversational systems such as Mazatrol or Hurco would be advantageous. A solid understanding of materials, machining techniques, and the ability to plan and execute jobs under pressure are essential. While not mandatory, a recognised apprenticeship combined with significant post-training industrial experience is a strong indicator of competence in this role.

  • Competence with measuring instruments (micrometers, verniers, etc.)
