Lynx Recruitment are recruiting for a specialist engineering consultancy working in highly regulated industries. We are seeking an experienced Senior Stress Engineer to deliver high-quality structural and stress analysis on complex engineering projects.
Role
You will lead and support design analysis activities, ensuring designs are safe, compliant, and cost-effective. You will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams and act as a technical focal point for analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and review stress and structural analysis (hand calculations and FEA)
- Produce and check design substantiation reports
- Support and influence design for integrity and manufacturability
- Mentor junior engineers
- Liaise with clients and project teams
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
Requirements
- Degree/HNC/HND in Engineering (or equivalent)
- Strong experience in stress analysis and Mathcad
- Knowledge of relevant structural and mechanical standards
- Experience in regulated environments (ideally nuclear)
- FEA experience (ANSYS/ABAQUS/NASTRAN) and 3D CAD
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Right to work in the UK
